Opening your own dog grooming business

Dog Grooming Business

I remember how exciting it was when I opened my first grooming business, and how even more exciting it was when I got my first client!

I will never forget that day as long as I live. That year was a great moment in my life, and it’s something I think about at least a few times a week.

I’ll also never forget the first time I made over $500 in one day!

"I’ll never forget the first time I groomed a dog for a client and got a $100 tip. I was so excited I couldn’t stop shaking!"

Opening your own grooming business is a very achievable goal!

Maybe you don’t like your job, or maybe you like your job but the pay is really low, or maybe you want to have a great career working with animals.

There are many reasons you might want to become a groomer and open your own grooming salon.

One of the best reasons is all the money you can make, but there are a lot of other great benefits besides money...

These are my favorite things about owning my own salon:

I get to make a lot of money keeping pets healthy and happy

I don’t have to work for someone else or listen to a boss tell me what to do

I make my own schedule and take time off whenever I want

Once you know how, you can enjoy these benefits as well !

Did you know a grooming business is one of the least expensive businesses to open?

I opened my first grooming business for just $3,000, and I made over $40,000 in the first year alone.

Once my business got going, it took a little more than 3 weeks of work to cover the cost of opening it.

You don’t have to spend tons and tons of money to open a grooming business IF you know how to do it the right way.

There are many different types of grooming businesses. Some groomers even groom from home!

Imagine not having to get up and drive to a day job!

It’s also one of the easiest types of businesses to open

Think about this: What do you really need to groom a dog?

When I opened my grooming business, I had one cheap tub, a cheap table to groom on, and some basic, inexpensive equipment.

Sure, some groomers have really fancy and expensive grooming salons. You’ve probably been to one before.

But you don’t need to have a fancy salon when you first start out. All you need is some basic equipment and proper training.

Again, getting the best training is key.

$180,000 a year

That’s how much I made last year, and this year I’m pushing towards $200,000.

It isn’t uncommon for a properly managed salon to make $100,000 + each and every year, and I personally know many groomers who are making that kind of money right now as you’re reading this.

You don’t have to open your own grooming business to make great money, but it is great to be in control of your own schedule.

Right now there are thousands of groomers running their own grooming businesses and making tons of money doing it.

I am going to show you how to start out on the right path so you can have an awesome career. You can even open your own grooming business one day!

What would you do if you made $100,000 or MORE every year?!?

"Hi Shelly!

I have to say, I should have written you a long time ago! I’ve been a groomer now for almost three years, and I have never thanked you for The Pet Groomer. It has really helped me so much. Even just reading your story is so inspiring for me!

People also ask me how they can become a groomer, and I always recommend your book to them. I opened my own mobile grooming business last year and it’s really going strong. I’m averaging about $7,500 a month after expenses. I’m planning to expand soon.

Again, thanks so much for all of your awesome advice! I hope I can meet you one day!"
